The movie has been struggling to grab enough screens, as it has YRF movie and Yash Chopra's last directorial "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" as competition. Watch trailer.
Out of the 10,500-plus single screens available throughout India, YRF claims to have booked less than 1,500 single screens and 600 to 650 screens overseas.
The movie is expected to collect around Rs. 16-18 crores in the weekend and around Rs. 75-80 crores in total. Read "Jab Tak Hain Jaan" box office report.
"Son Of Sardaar" was made on Rs 70 crore budget will reportedly hit 350 screens in the overseas market. The screen count in India is unavailable.
Directed by Ashwni Dhir of "Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge" fame and Produced by Ajay Devgn, the movie is a remake of Telugu movie "Maryada Ramanna" by SS Rajamouli, which is based on 1923 American silent movie "Our Hospitality".
Audiences will have a tough choice to make and it would be interesting to see which film fares how at the box office.
